Countdown to The Marco Marco Fashion Show
The countdown is officially on- there are only two days left until Marco Marco debuts our fifth collection at LAFW 2016! We’ve gone into beast mode when it comes to final fittings, alterations, and placing the finishing touches on each couture garment in preparation for the show. The showroom floor is covered in flashy fabric scraps and stones (and so are we), but we’re nearly ready.
We’d like to tell you all our secrets, but you’ll just have to wait until the end of the week. In the meantime, rest assured that the cast of models and performers coming in and out of the showroom makes waiting it entirely worth the wait.
As you know, it’s a runway show, so we’ve gone out of our way to fill the cast with faces, bodies, and names we know you’ll love. Returning to stomp the runway are Marco Marco show alumni Adore Delano, Detox, Raja, Rhea Litre, Courtney Act, Steven Dehler and Murray Swanby, just to name a few. To keep things interesting, however, we’ve also thrown some new faces into the mix! Walking with us for the first time ever are Alaska Thunderfuck, Vanity Faire, and Laith Ashley.
We’ve been teasing you for weeks with the knowledge that this year our runway show is much more than just a fashion display. We’re also bringing you a host of performances, just to make sure you’re entertained all night. Between watching the models, listening to Derek Monteiro and Hector Fonseca spin, and perusing the art installation by Zachary Crane, you’ll see not just one but several stellar performance artists. Taking the stage friday night are Shangela, Courtney Act, Les Farfadais, Duo Raw, and Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2 winner Alaska Thunderfuck. You’re not just witnessing a runway show and being introduced to a new collection; you’re experiencing an entire evening of live entertainment.
